As the main theory units for this year have now been completed - which followed up my specialism units that have been the primary focus on this blog - this has all lead towards the final major project of the year - the graduate project. Following changes to the governments guidance regarding to COVID-19, this project will be very different from anything I have done in this year but will be executed in a similar manor to my studio production in second year, which moved fully online in March 2020.
The premise for my graduate project this year is two 15 minute long documentary episodes with the main theme being: How has COVID-19 and the lockdowns affected and changed the UK music industry. The biggest changes to this project come from the fact that our group will be unable to do any in person interviews with our contributors meaning the project is being completed fully in an online setting. This has also led to changes as to how the roles are spread out between the group with my main role still being camera but the main responsibilities now being gathering together archive footage and helping with editing.
At this point in time, the main focus of the project is completing the interviews to get a sense of how COVID-19 has had varying effects on people in the music industry and what their plans for the future may be.
