Many of the camera workshop involve taking all the key notes from the previous sessions and implementing those into the next exercises with this weeks one mainly focusing on establishing shots. The first part of the session allowed us to go over how to set up the cameras again before moving onto the main lighting settings on the camera (mainly white balance) before moving onto the main task.
This was a quick ten minute task where we had to film a quick establishing shot of one of the university buildings after setting up the lighting. We did experience some minor issues with how the shit turned out as it was a bit too bright and turning down the exposure wasn't enough to solve the issue.
This taught the group how to easily set up the location through a simple wide shot of the whole building/location before moving on to the main action. This workshop gave me a better idea on how to effectively use the camera which would lead onto the next task the following week.
